HOW TO VISIT KUWAIT CITY (KUWAIT) AND SAVE HUNDREDS

Kuwait is a country expensive to be visited (1 KD worth about 3 euros).
However, with little effort it is possible to visit it saving a lot of money (in one week I spent about 500 Euros for everything).
Let's see how.

PLANE
The great Pegasus Airlines (www.flypgs.com) offers very cheap tickets to Kuwait City from all over Europe (I paid for about 170 Euros from Rome).Take advantage of the offers by subscribing to the mailing list to know when they are made (I took the ticket with a 30% discount).

SHUTTLE BUS
At Kuwait City airport, don't take a taxi, which costs about 30 Euros one way but the comfortable bus, which costs 1.50 Euros one way and runs through all Kuwait City districts.

HOTEL
Although the cheapest hotels are in Hawally disctrict, my advice is to sleep if possible (maybe in an apartment with Airbnb, www.airbnb.com) in the center (the area near the Souk Marbarakia, called Kuwait City, while the other district of Kuwait City, like Hawally,  are considered separate cities by the kuwaiti people). The distances are high and the taxies very expensive (in the 500 Euro I spent, about 150 were for the taxies, since I slept in Hawally and almost all the attractions are in Kuwait City)

FOOD
Food is, strangely, very cheap, especially in Souk Marbarakia, where a meal (for example a shawarma or a hummus with Arabic bread and drink) costs about 3 Euros.

With these few tips, the beautiful Kuwait City will be a destination for everyone!
